General Moses Ali, Uganda’s Second Deputy Prime Minister and long-serving Member of Parliament for Adjumani West County, has officially launched his campaign for re-election in the 2026 general elections. The announcement was made during a vibrant gathering at Paridi Stadium in Adjumani Town Council, which also served as a thanksgiving ceremony.

The event drew hundreds of attendees, including religious leaders, local government officials, youth representatives, and residents from across the district. The occasion was both a gesture of appreciation for the community’s continued support and an opportunity for Gen. Ali to outline his future agenda.

In his address, Gen. Ali expressed heartfelt thanks to the people of Adjumani for their trust and unwavering support throughout his political journey. He said his decision to seek another term stems from a commitment to complete ongoing development projects and introduce new initiatives aimed at uplifting the region.

Among the key priorities highlighted were the improvement of road infrastructure, expansion of clean water access, enhancement of the education system, and increased support for youth and women-led initiatives. Gen. Ali emphasized that these projects are designed to improve living standards and create broader opportunities for all residents.

He also underscored the importance of maintaining peace and unity within Adjumani, noting that the district’s steady progress has been a result of strong collaboration between leaders and citizens. As the country approaches the 2026 elections, he urged the community to remain calm, focused, and united.
