Makerere University 74th Graduation!! Graduands Warned Not To Access The Graduation Tent With These Things

Makerere University administration has once again implemented a ban on graduands and guests bringing phones to the graduation venue during the institution’s 74th graduation , which is scheduled to run for a week from January 29 to February 2.
This same restriction was also applied during the previous graduation ceremony (73rd congregation) held in February of last year. The Academic Registrar’s office has confirmed this decision by including phones in the list of prohibited items for the week-long ceremony.
Often, graduations are filled with sentimental moments that loved ones may want to capture on camera to cherish for years to come. Restricting the use of phones may not sit well with all parties involved.
Despite the previous instruction from the university, there were graduands seen with their phones at the tents during last year’s ceremony, raising doubts about the effectiveness of the prohibition.
The university has multiple reasons for implementing this measure, one of which is to minimize disruptions caused by phone users that lead to disorganized events.
