Buganda Kingdom Chief Shooting!! Police Reveals The Assailants Belonged To His Clan, Related To Him

It’s still a somber mood at the home of Buganda’s slain Ndiga Clan head Lomwa Eng Daniel Bbosa , who was fatally shot by armed assailants riding a motorbike as he neared his home in Lungujja, Rubaga division, Kampala.Initial investigations have uncovered that the assailants were actually three, contrary to the initial report of two.
A brave group managed to capture two assailants, resulting in the death of one on the scene, while the other is currently receiving treatment at Mulago hospital and is showing signs of improvement.
During the police’s weekly briefing, spokesperson Fred Enanga disclosed that the assailant killed by the mob was identified as Enock Sserunkuma, while the one undergoing treatment is Noah Lujja. The whereabouts of the third assailant are still unknown, but the police are actively pursuing leads to apprehend him.
It’s noteworthy that both captured assailants, Lujja and Sserunkuma, share surnames associated with the Ndiga clan, which the late Eng Daniel Bbosa led, prompting questions about the motive behind the attack.
The motive behind this tragic incident remains unclear. However, it occurred shortly after the release of the 2023 crimes report by the police, revealing a disturbing increase in gun violence victims, with over 300 people affected compared to 279 in 2022.
This incident follows closely after another shooting less than 40 days ago, targeting Pastor Aloysius Bugingo of the House of Prayer, in the same vicinity of Lungujja, Lubaga division, resulting in the loss of his bodyguard, Richard Muhumuza.
