Exclusive!! How Kajjansi Taxi Driver Killed 5 Female Passengers In 69 Days , Narrates How A Witch Doctor Promised Him Wealth Through Blood Sacrifice

As per a Police officer engaged in the probe, the man suspected of murdering five women in Kajjansi on Entebbe Road has provided an extrajudicial statement at the magistrates’ court.
The officer disclosed that the suspect, Isaac Niwagaba, asserted that he operated solo, contradicting prior Police declarations on Monday, which suggested the participation of three additional accomplices.
Motive Still Unknown
Authorities are yet to pinpoint a clear motive for the killings. Ongoing investigations involve scrutinizing various locations Niwagaba allegedly frequented, including those linked with traditional healers, where he purportedly sought purification rituals. Initial interrogations unveiled Niwagaba’s seeming possession by spirits, further complicating the probe.
VISIT TO A TRADITIONAL HEALER
Niwagaba confessed to investigators that his initial victim was his girlfriend. Subsequently, fearing suspicion from his girlfriend’s friend, he admitted to luring and killing her as well. During a subsequent visit to a traditional healer, Niwagaba was purportedly introduced to the idea of amassing wealth through additional killings, setting him on a deadly path.
“It was during his second visit to the same traditional healer that Niwagaba was introduced to the possibility of obtaining wealth through further killings. This proposition set Niwagaba on a deadly path,” the detective added, describing Niwagaba as a “sadist” whose appetite for money and blood combined to fuel the current episode of murders at Kajjansi on the Kampala-Entebbe highway.
“He was a jilted lover who turned his initial crime into a habit. Having gotten away with one murder, he continued to kill the other women he pursued, turning it into a habit. He started off being jilted and then turned it into a compulsive behaviour,” the detective said.
Described as a “sadist” propelled by a mix of financial gain and a proclivity for violence, Niwagaba’s actions escalated into a string of murders along the Kampala-Entebbe highway. What commenced as a crime of passion evolved into a compulsive pattern of violence, with Niwagaba targeting women he pursued romantically.
Horrible Murders And How The Suspects Were Arrested
The most recent incident involved Sandra Nangobi, who disappeared on May 15, 2024. Her mother, Sulaina Tendo, reported her missing after Nangobi left her residence in Kitende “B” cell, Kajjansi, at 5:00 am but failed to reach her workplace in Makindye, Kampala.
Her phone was turned off, and her whereabouts remained unknown until this week.On May 9, 2024, another woman’s body was discovered along the Jjanja-Lutembe Beach road around 9:00 am. Witnesses reported that the body had been dumped by an unidentified vehicle.Another victim, Jenipher Nassali, was found on April 29, 2024, in Bweya cell, Kajjansi town council.
Police indicated that she had been strangled, with her face covered in a polythene bag. On April 23, 2024, the body of an unidentified woman was found in a sack in Kawotto cell, Kajjansi town council. A male suspect was captured on camera fleeing the scene after setting the body on fire.
Police mentioned that the first incident with similar characteristics occurred on March 31, 2024, involving the body of 25-year-old Judith Awori, a waitress at Royal Ark Restaurant in Lweza cell, Ndejje, Kajjansi town council. Awori had also been strangled.A senior officer informed New Vision that Niwagaba claimed one of his victims had allegedly defrauded him of sh200,000.
“Feeling betrayed and enraged by the financial loss, Niwagaba lured the woman and murdered her in retaliation. He kills as if it is a ritual. The pattern is clear; he continues to kill like it’s a compulsive act,” the officer stated.
Compelling evidence, including the cellular phone of one of the victims, connected Nuwagaba’s gang to the disappearance and deaths of the six women. Nuwagaba, also known as Mukiga, was arrested on Saturday, May 18, from a hideout in Rwakimuli cell, Bukinda trading centre, Bukinda sub-county in Rukiga district.
Alongside Nuwagaba, taxi touts Abbas Katongole, Ronald Matovu, and Ivan Bawongo were also apprehended. The gang utilized a taxi with registration number UAU 738T to lure the victims.
“It is said Nuwagaba had been using the deceased’s phone, which the Police tracked, and at the time of arrest on Saturday, he was still using it to communicate with his associates. It has been kept as an exhibit. It was also key in apprehending his accomplices,” a detective disclosed.
