Authorities in Matugga are investigating the brutal murder of a 45-year-old traditional healer, Bisobolwa Isa, who was fatally stabbed in the early hours of May 8, 2025, in Kito Cell.9

According to preliminary reports, Bisobolwa was attacked by 18-year-old Mutyaba Richard, a younger man he had been living with. The altercation is believed to have stemmed from a disagreement over Shs 2,000. Witnesses say the pair had been drinking together at Mama Naka Bar on the night of May 7 and appeared to be in good spirits before the situation escalated.

At approximately 1:20 AM, the dispute turned violent once the two returned home. During the argument, Mutyaba allegedly picked up a sharp object and stabbed Bisobolwa twice—once in the neck and once in the stomach—causing critical injuries.

Bisobolwa was rushed to Wanda Health Centre for emergency care but was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Police responded quickly to the incident, registering a case of murder, documenting the scene, and transporting the body to Mulago Mortuary for a postmortem examination.

The suspect fled the scene and remains at large. Police are actively pursuing leads and have urged anyone with information on Mutyaba’s whereabouts to report to the nearest police station.

Kampala Metropolitan Police spokesperson SSP Patrick Onyango confirmed the incident and assured the public that a full investigation is underway.

The shocking event has left residents of Kito Cell reeling, as many struggle to comprehend how a minor disagreement could lead to such a tragic outcome.
