Police Reveals Secrets About The 3 Gunmen That Killed Buganda Kingdom Chief
Police authorities have verified that Daniel Bbosa, the leader of Buganda’s Ndiga Clan, was fatally shot by three attackers.
Bbosa met his demise while inside his vehicle near his residence in Lungujja Parish, Lubaga Division, Kampala, on Sunday evening around 6 p.m.During the weekly press briefing at Police Headquarters in Naguru, Fred Enanga, the police spokesperson, disclosed that the assailants positioned themselves discreetly near the victim’s home, observing his approach before opening fire on his vehicle.
Enanga emphasized that the killing seemed premeditated, as the assailants solely targeted Bbosa. Enanga noted that Bbosa’s wife, Gladys, and the housemaid accompanying him in the vehicle from an event emerged unharmed.
“Bbosa’s wife Gladys and the housemaid with whom he was in the vehicle as he returned from a function survived with no injuries,” said Enanga.
After the attack, the assailants attempted to flee on a motorcycle bearing registration number UEX 754E. However, brave boda boda riders gave chase, ultimately causing the motorcycle to crash, leading to the capture of two of the attackers.
Enanga reported that Enock Sserunkuma, one of the assailants, succumbed to injuries inflicted by the pursuing crowd, while Noah Lujja is receiving medical treatment at Mulago Hospital.
The third assailant remains at large, prompting an ongoing manhunt. Detectives are actively retrieving CCTV footage from the vicinity for potential leads, while the firearm used in the crime has been forwarded to ballistic experts for analysis.
