The case involving the appeal of Godfrey Wamala, also known as Troy, who was convicted of manslaughter in the death of musician Mowzey Radio, is still awaiting judgment. Wamala was sentenced to 14 years in prison in 2019 and appealed the decision.

Wamala, convicted for his role in the assault that led to Radio’s death in 2018, asked the Court of Appeal to overturn the sentence.

During a hearing, his lawyer said that the court records provided were incomplete, making it difficult to prepare the case. Wamala’s lawyers, therefore, asked for more time.

The Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) argued that the appeal should be dismissed, stating that Wamala had not shown a serious effort to pursue it. Despite this, the court allowed the request for more time, and the case has been postponed until further notice.

There has been no final ruling on the appeal, leaving the public and the family of Mowzey Radio waiting for closure. This case remains an important chapter in the ongoing legal battle surrounding the late musician’s tragic death.
