We Don’t Know Her!! NRM Distances Itself From Angry Woman Who Slapped A Traffic Police Officer In Viral Video

Since last Friday through the weekend, a woman who has been identified as Mercy Timbitwire has been trending after she decided to take matters in her own hands and rained slaps and abuses to a traffic police officer who had stopped who has also been identified as Charles Makawa.

Mercy was denied police bond and also denied bail and was remanded to Luzira prisons by the Nakawa magistrates court until 4th November 2024.

Several Media houses had identified Mercy as an employee of the Ruling party Party that she was a publicist for the Museveni party as seen on the charge sheet.

However, in a rather shocking turn of events, the NRM party has distanced itself from the savage woman saying her name is not anywhere among the party’s employees at the secretariat and not even in the countrywide structures.

Replying to a media screenshot, Hon Emmanuel Dombo Lumala the Director of Communications at the secretariat referred to Mercy’s alignment to the NRM party as fake identity.

Later, the NRM Directorate of Information and publicity released a statement confirming that the violent woman is not their employee.

“We would like to clarify that Ms. Bashisha is neither a PRO nor a staff at the NRM Secretariat. As a matter of fact, she has never been a staff of the Secretariat and is unknown to us. The stories circulating are therefore false, misleading, and intended to cast a bad image of the NRM party.”- the statement reads in part.
