Not at all like the prevalent view that music is a field for uneducated people and individuals who didn’ t venture into school, this idea is off- base. Around the world performing and arts industry has probably the most educated individuals.This is because most of these deal with alot of businesses a thing that requires them to be educated to avoid being duped. Just as Raga Dee sang that musicians are educated, so is the case in Uganda. These have even gone on to a point of standing for political offices.

Below we take a look at the musicians who have studied to the highest level of education in no particular order.

1. Iryn Namubiru

Iryn Namubiru Maybe the most educated artist on this list. To add on her schooling, she needed to be a flight attendant and she joined the Airways Tourism and Hotel Institute.Iryn soon enough enrolled at the Stendhal University in France, yet returned to complete her studies in Uganda at the Cavendish University.   The curvy singer has officially graduated today (in absentia) with a Bachelor’s degree in Hotel and Tourism management at Cavendish University.

The singer seemed very excited about the accomplishment as she congratulated fellow graduands at Cavendish University.She likewise studied  from Bugema Adventist Senior Secondary School and Namasagali school. Iryn Namubiru is a hotshot who began her vocation in 1995 and she has been in the business for more than twenty years.The singer who successfully managed to attain a second class upper, degree attributes this success to her ability to balance between books, family and work

2. Vinka

Vocalist Veronica Lugya otherwise known as Vinka isn’ t only a power to figure in the music business yet in scholastics as well. The Swangz Avenue vocalist moved on from Makerere University with a four year certification in the travel industry.

The beautiful singer began her academic excursion from Hormisdallen Primary School prior to enlisting at Rubaga girls where she studied her secondary Level from.Despite graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Tourism, Vinka real names Veronica Luggya has no plans of doing anything related to tourism. At least not now because her music career is just starting and so far, she’s receiving a lot of love as her first track ‘Level’ is receiving some good airplay.

Vinka made her entry onto the music scene three years ago not as a musician but more as an artiste manager with Irene Ntale as her responsibility but at the beginning of this year, she spoke to her bosses at Swangz Avenue about her desire to also start singing and they gave her a shot. Later, they signed her on and let Irene depart.

3. Lydia Jazmine

The chocolate skinned magnificence began her schooling from Victoria Nile school and afterward finished secondary school from Cityland school.The Masukka artist at long last moved on from Multitech Business school with a four year Bachelor’ s degree of business management and administration.

4. Spice Diana

Hajarah Namukwaya is one of the most supported performer as of now and this can be arributed to both her ability and schooling.Namukwaya Hajarah aka Spice Diana is one hardworking musician undoubtedly and she’s enjoying the results of her sweat.

She’s one of the most followed musicians on social media in both Uganda and East Africa. She’s also the face of a number of local brands and this all can be attributed to strategizing herself. Her songs such as Kwata Wano, Ready have recieved airplay across East Africa.

The Ndi mu love singer has gone ahead to release collaborations with some of East Africa’s best musicians including Harmonize and Wasafi’s Mbosso. She’s also had the chance to work with the Goodlyf crew and Sautisol during the suspended MTV awards that were slated to happen here in February this year.

The schooling bit has empowered her to horn her business insight. She moved on from Makerere University with four year Bachelor’ s degree in art and design. The Kokonya artist began her schooling venture at Kibuli Demonstration school for her essential education prior to joining St Peter’ s SS Nsambya for her secondary education at long last selecting at Makerere University.

5. Irene Ntale

Another book geek is Singer Irene Ntale. The songstress moved on from Kyambogo University with a four year certification in acquisition and strategies. The 32 year old concentrated on her primary education from Kitante grade school then, at that point, made a beeline for Kitante high school for o’ level before finishing of secondary school from Makerere High currently known as Migadde school.

Irene Ntale, is not only a singer but also song writer and guitarist, who had taken on her solo career in a bid to develop a unique sound of RnB Reggae & Acoustic soul, since leaving Swangz Avenue but had failed to break through until now. Her return to the front foyer of the industry brings a fresh pool of immaculate music and talent that she is and will give other female artistes a run for their money.
