How I Overcame a Land Dispute With a Powerful City Tycoon, Mugisha Shares

My name is John Mugisha from Masaka, Uganda. For years, I faced a daunting land dispute that seemed impossible to win. The trouble began when a wealthy tycoon from Kampala claimed ownership of my family’s land, which had been handed down from my grandfather. Suddenly, a person with money, influence, and connections threatened to take away what my family had preserved for generations. At first, I believed that the truth would be enough, but I soon realized that money often drowns out justice.

The tycoon used his influence to sway officials and manipulate legal processes. His strong connections in the city and financial resources gave him a clear advantage. Every time I went to court, it felt as though the case was already tilted in his favor. Even though I presented legitimate documents, the system seemed to work against me. Friends and family advised me to give up, convinced that no one could defeat someone so powerful.
