Local Leadership Labs Project: CAPAIDS Uganda Unleashes Collective Power of In Consultation Meeting With 05 Categories

Kampala, Uganda – In a groundbreaking effort to empower marginalized communities, CAPAIDS Uganda convened a pivotal consultation meeting for the Local Leadership Labs Project.

This innovative initiative brought together stakeholders from five critical categories to co-design and co-create locally owned, context-specific solutions for sustainable development.

The 05 Categories: A Powerhouse of Change

  1. Disability-focused organizations
  2. Faith-Based Organizations
  3. Women Led Organizations
  4. Women Rights Organizations
  5. Cultural Based Organizations

These diverse stakeholders gathered to tackle pressing issues, share experiences, and brainstorm solutions, marking a significant milestone in CAPAIDS Uganda’s commitment to grassroots empowerment.

Consultation Meeting: A Catalyst for Collective Action

The event provided a dynamic platform for;

  • Co-creating and Co-designing community solutions to Sustainable Development
  • Sharing experiences and brainstorming solutions
  • Identifying capacity gaps and exploring training opportunities.

Participants from Faith-Based Organizations praised the project’s alignment with local needs, highlighting the importance of context-specific approaches. CAPAIDS Uganda’s team offered guidance on potential interventions.

Compiling Findings into the Local Leadership LABs Localization Position PaperCAPAIDS Uganda will compile consultation findings into a comprehensive report, informing tailored interventions addressing regional challenges.

A regional steering committee will guide project implementation.
