“We Shall Chase Them & They Must Leave Without Any Objections” Gen Muhoozi Blasts White Mercenaries

Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, has called for the removal of white mercenaries from Eastern Congo. Taking to his X account (formerly Twitter), General Kainerugaba expressed confidence that the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) are capable of restoring peace in key regions like Sake and Goma. He also urged Presidents Paul Kagame of Rwanda and Felix Tshisekedi of the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) to reach an agreement to address the situation.
In a similar vein, Uganda’s Minister of Youth and Children Affairs, Honorable Balaam Barugahara, voiced his support for peace in the region. Through his own X post, Barugahara emphasized the importance of fostering unity and cooperation among the leaders of the three countries. He called for collaboration between Presidents Tshisekedi, Kagame, and Uganda’s leadership, highlighting the role the UPDF can play in stabilizing the region. Barugahara also stressed the importance of removing foreign mercenaries to achieve lasting peace in Eastern Congo. He concluded with a prayer for peace to return to the region.
The idea of Uganda taking an active role in restoring peace has received positive responses from Ugandans across various social media platforms. Many have welcomed the suggestion, recognizing the potential for stability and security that the UPDF could bring to the troubled areas of Sake and Goma.
