A young woman identified as Eva Mbabazi, believed to be in her early 20s, has been arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the sudden and mysterious death of Dr. John Spire Kiggundu.

Mbabazi had been widely mentioned on social media in recent days, with several users claiming she was the last person seen with the respected doctor before his untimely death. Her presence in the hotel where Dr. Kiggundu was staying has raised serious questions, prompting authorities to act swiftly.

According to preliminary reports, investigators tracked down Mbabazi after gathering credible leads suggesting she may have vital information about the doctor’s final hours. CCTV footage reportedly shows her entering the hotel room empty-handed and later leaving with items, a detail that significantly increased public interest and suspicion.

At this stage, police are treating Mbabazi as a key witness, although further questioning and evidence could lead to more serious charges depending on what unfolds. Her arrest comes amid growing public pressure for transparency and accountability in the case, especially given Dr. Kiggundu’s respected status in his field.

So far, authorities have not released the exact cause of Dr. Kiggundu’s death, explaining that doing so could compromise the investigation. However, sources close to the case confirmed that investigators are now reviewing surveillance footage, phone records, and witness testimonies to build a clearer picture of what transpired.

Law enforcement officials have urged the public to avoid spreading unverified information and to remain patient as they continue to pursue the truth. “We understand the public concern, but it’s important that we allow due process to take its course,” one officer said.

As the investigation continues, attention remains focused on Eva Mbabazi—the woman who may hold the answers to one of the most talked-about cases in recent memory. The country now waits for more details to emerge as authorities work to uncover what truly happened in the final moments of Dr. John Spire Kiggundu’s life.
