BREAKING NEWS!! New HIV Drug Lenacapavir Price Reduced From 102 Million To Shs 130,000
Uganda’s Minister of Health, Dr. Jane Ruth Aceng, has celebrated a landmark announcement on the significant price reduction of the HIV prevention drug lenacapavir. The news came during the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) meeting in New York on Wednesday.
The cost of an annual dose of lenacapavir will fall from about Shs 102 million (US$28,218) to just Shs 130,000 (US$40) for 120 low- and middle-income countries. This milestone marks a major step toward making HIV prevention widely accessible.
