The sudden and mysterious death of Dr. John Spire Kiggundu has shocked the entire country. Dr. Kiggundu was a respected doctor and researcher in Uganda, known for his hard work and dedication. His passing has left his family, friends, and patients in deep sorrow.

Now, the arrest of 23-year-old Eva Mbabazi has added even more confusion to the case. Eva was reportedly the last person seen with Dr. Kiggundu before he died. Because of this, the police believe she might have important information. She has not been charged with any crime yet, but police are treating her as a “person of interest.”

As soon as news of her arrest spread, people on social media began pointing fingers. Some accused her of being responsible for Dr. Kiggundu’s death. Old photos of her with the late doctor also began to circulate online, though it’s unclear when those pictures were taken.

This week, Eva Mbabazi spoke through her lawyer and strongly denied the accusations. Her voice was filled with emotion as she said, “I didn’t kill him. Dr. Kiggundu was my friend. I respected him. I am also in pain because of what happened. His death has broken me too.”

The police have not yet shared how Dr. Kiggundu died. They say investigations are still ongoing. Officers are reviewing CCTV footage, checking phone records, and speaking to people who may know something. A police spokesperson explained, “We are not rushing to make conclusions. We are carefully following every clue.”

Eva’s lawyer has called on the public to stop spreading rumors and to give the police time to do their work. “This is a painful moment for everyone,” the lawyer said. “We must let the truth come out through proper investigation, not social media.”

Dr. Kiggundu’s death has left a big gap in the medical community. Many Ugandans have gone online to share their grief and demand justice. They remember him as a caring and intelligent man who helped many lives.

As the investigation continues, many questions remain unanswered. The public is hoping for the truth to come out soon — so that justice can be served, and so that both families can finally find peace.
