“Its Shameful! A CDF Should Not Be Making Such Tweets, He Actually Gives UPDF Soldiers A Tough Time” Senior Ugandan MP Warns

Kasambya County Member of Parliament, Honorable Nkunyingi Muwada, has raised concerns following a tweet by Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces, General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, in which he threatened to behead National Unity Platform (NUP) President Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine. General Muhoozi, in a series of tweets, claimed that President Yoweri Museveni is protecting Bobi Wine from him. His post, which included the threat to behead the opposition leader, quickly garnered attention from Ugandans, who took to social media to express their outrage.
In response to the incident, Honorable Nkunyingi Muwada questioned General Muhoozi’s behavior, suggesting that there may be something wrong with how he was raised. The MP further criticized Muhoozi’s actions, arguing that as the Chief of Defence Forces, Muhoozi is making life difficult for the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF).
He emphasized that a person in such a high-ranking military position should not be making such controversial statements. Muwada also raised concerns about the potential consequences, pointing out that if a young UPDF soldier were to take similar actions, it could lead to serious problems. He referred to the case of Kakwenza, who claimed to have been tortured by Muhoozi Kainerugaba, underscoring the negative impact of such behavior on the UPDF.
