“No One In Uganda Has The Right To Take Another Person’s Life & Go Unpunished” Museveni Orders Fresh Probe Into Entebbe Couple Murder
The grisly murder of a Ugandan couple in Entebbe has taken a dramatic twist after President Yoweri Museveni personally intervened, ordering a new investigation into the case. The victims, David Mutaaga and his wife, were found dead in their home in what security officials describe as a calculated and ruthless attack.

The couple had recently returned to Uganda after more than three decades of living in Switzerland. Early findings suggest that the killings may be rooted in a bitter dispute over property David Mutaaga had inherited from his late father.
President Museveni, after reviewing several reports on the killings, expressed deep concern and has now instructed the Director General of the Internal Security Organisation (ISO), Arther Mugenyi, to carry out an independent investigation. The President has demanded a special report delivered directly to him.
Sources close to State House say Museveni questioned how the assailants managed to scale the perimeter wall, access the house, execute the murders in separate rooms, and leave the scene undetected.
One of the most disturbing revelations is that the children of the deceased did not attend the burial — reportedly out of fear for their own lives. According to sources, they suspect that the killers may be close relatives. “They feared they could be the next targets if they showed up,” one insider said.
The President has directed ISO to thoroughly investigate these claims, particularly the possibility that the murders stem from internal family conflicts. “No one has the right to take a life and walk free,” Museveni is quoted as saying. “I want those responsible arrested and brought to justice.”
In parallel, the President has also contacted the Director of Criminal Investigations, AIGP Tom Magambo, instructing the Uganda Police to continue with its inquiries. Police sources indicate that they are following strong leads, including photographic evidence and communication records of possible suspects. While investigators remain tight-lipped about specific details, arrests are believed to be imminent.
The brutal murder of the Mutaaga couple has sent shockwaves across the country, leaving behind unanswered questions and a grieving family clouded by fear. With President Museveni now personally involved, there is renewed hope that the truth will surface and that justice will be delivered.
