“The Fact Is That NUP Has Ran Broke, We Are Struggling Financially” Bobi Wine Cries Out To Ugandans To Fundraise

NUP party president Robert Kyagulanyi, also known as Bobi Wine, has spoken out about the financial troubles his party is facing. While addressing supporters at the National Unity Platform headquarters earlier this week, Bobi Wine admitted that the party is struggling to stay afloat.
“To be honest, we are struggling financially,” he said. “We do not receive any money from the government, no matter what our critics say.”
Bobi Wine called on Ugandans who believe in NUP’s vision to support the party through an upcoming fundraising event scheduled for next Monday. “We are the people’s party. We depend on your support,” he told the crowd.
He also revealed that the government is reportedly spending Shs30 billion in an effort to destroy NUP from within. According to Bobi Wine, this money is being used for bribes, spying, and infiltration of the party.
“They want to break us with money and fear, but we will not give up,” he said firmly. “We are building a new Uganda — one where everyone can enjoy freedom and fairness.”
Bobi Wine ended his speech with a powerful message:
“No amount of money can stop people who are determined.”
His comments have started a wave of reactions on social media, with many praising his honesty and courage. Others have raised questions about the party’s future and where help will come from.
As the 2026 general elections draw closer, Bobi Wine’s message is a clear sign that NUP is not giving up — but they need help to keep fighting.
