THE HUNTING CONTINUES!! Police Gets Strong Lead In Entebbe Couple Murder Case
The quiet town of Entebbe has been rocked by a brutal and heartbreaking crime—the murder of an elderly couple, David Mutaaga (69) and his wife Florence Mutaaga (62). The two, who had returned to Uganda from Europe just three years ago, were found dead in their home in Lugonjo on Sunday night.

The tragic incident has left residents in deep sorrow, as the Mutaagas were known for their generosity and kind hearts. They supported several needy families and helped many children pay for school. Their sudden death has not only sparked fear, but also grief throughout the community.
Police investigations have now uncovered vital evidence that could help catch the killer. CCTV cameras installed at the couple’s home recorded a suspect entering and leaving the premises at around 9:30 PM—the suspected time of the murder. Although the suspect’s face was partly covered, experts are working on enhancing the footage to get a clearer image.
Assistant Superintendent of Police Luke Owoyesigyire confirmed the discovery. “The home had CCTV cameras, which captured the suspect. We are now working on the images to clearly see his face,” he said.
Investigators believe the suspect may have used an avocado tree near the house to climb in, possibly entering through a broken window or by removing some roof tiles. After carrying out the crime, the intruder is thought to have exited through the main gate.
Fingerprints were also lifted from the scene and are currently being analyzed. Investigators are trying to find out whether the suspect had ever been inside the home before or if this was a targeted attack.
The couple’s two househelps, who were reportedly at the house earlier that day, are now being questioned as part of the investigation. Police are also reviewing several months of CCTV footage from the area, searching for any suspicious movements or familiar faces that may lead to a breakthrough.
While the community is still mourning, there is now a renewed sense of hope that justice may soon be served. With the CCTV evidence and other clues, police believe they are closing in on the person responsible for this shocking crime.
As residents of Entebbe wait for answers, one thing is clear: the memory of David and Florence Mutaaga, and the kindness they showed to many, will not be forgotten.
