WANTED!! Kampala City Tycoon Don Chris Flees to Paris After Allegedly Scamming Ugandans of Over 1 Billion in Fake Job Promises
Don Chris, a flamboyant Kampala businessman known for his lavish lifestyle and love of high-end music events, has reportedly fled to Paris, France, after being accused of orchestrating a large-scale scam that cost Ugandans more than Shs1 billion. At the center of the scandal is Skypins Tours and Travels, a company he founded and led as CEO, which promised job opportunities abroad.
Skypins aggressively marketed its services through mainstream and social media, advertising work placements in Europe and the United States. Don Chris even appeared in videos warning potential clients not to sell their assets or take out loans to pay for application fees, stressing that visa approvals weren’t guaranteed. He hinted that “middle routes” might improve chances but gave no assurances.
Despite his warnings, many desperate Ugandans did just that—selling land, borrowing heavily, and draining life savings in hopes of a better life overseas. Their dreams, however, soon turned into nightmares. As time passed, the promised jobs never materialized. Skypins’ offices at Haruna Mall in Ntinda, once buzzing with hopeful applicants, fell silent. By then, Don Chris had already disappeared.
According to sources, each client paid upwards of Shs10 million. The total sum collected is estimated to exceed Shs1 billion—money believed to have financed Don Chris’s sudden relocation and comfortable new life in Europe. Videos circulating online now show distraught victims expressing their anger and heartbreak over the scam.
The case has sparked widespread outrage, with calls growing louder for his immediate arrest and extradition. Investigations are ongoing, but so far, Don Chris remains at large, reportedly enjoying life in Paris while his victims struggle with financial ruin and shattered hopes.
What was once sold as a ticket to a brighter future has turned into a cautionary tale of deception and betrayal.
