A disturbing pattern of unexplained deaths in Ugandan lodges has claimed another life, this time in Busia District. Authorities have confirmed the death of 55-year-old Muhammad Mukungu, a taxi driver, who passed away under unclear circumstances at Mwesigwa Guest House in Kisenyi A village.

According to eyewitness accounts, Mukungu arrived at the guest house earlier in the evening accompanied by a woman. The two reportedly stayed together until around 11:00 p.m., at which point he escorted her out. A short time later, Mukungu returned with a second woman, intending to spend the night.

Tragically, Mukungu died in the room during the night. The cause of death has not yet been determined, and investigations are underway to establish what transpired.

Police responded promptly to the report. The second woman, who was present at the time of Mukungu’s death, was taken in for questioning to aid in the investigation. While no evidence of foul play has been confirmed, authorities continue to treat the matter as an active case.

The incident has stirred concern among residents of Kisenyi A and surrounding areas. Many are alarmed by what seems to be a recurring trend of sudden and unexplained deaths, particularly involving men who check into lodges with women. Social media users have voiced growing suspicion and anxiety, with some calling for deeper investigations into possible underlying causes.
