Arua Central Division is at a pivotal moment, and its people need a leader who truly understands their challenges, dreams, and aspirations. Hon. Obindu Jackson, a committed and visionary member of the National Unity Platform (NUP), stands out as the candidate capable of bringing the transformation the city needs. His experience, dedication, and deep connection to the community make him the beacon of hope Arua Central has been waiting for.

Obindu’s leadership journey began early, from excelling in student governance in primary and secondary school to taking on key roles at Kampala International University (KIU), where he studied health sciences. At KIU, he served as Guild President of the School of Allied Health Sciences, President of the Northern Students Association, and President of the West Nile Students Association. These roles sharpened his leadership skills and strengthened his understanding of the challenges facing students, particularly those from Northern Uganda.

In 2020/2021, Obindu ran for Youth MP for Northern Uganda, gaining vital experience in political advocacy and representation. This foundation prepared him to address pressing issues such as youth empowerment, education, and local economic development.

Obindu is also a medical clinical officer and is pursuing a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) at the Islamic University in Uganda (IUIU). His combined expertise in healthcare and law allows him to tackle the region’s challenges from a well-rounded perspective. His strong stance on human rights, transparency, and social justice further underscores his suitability for leadership.

One of Obindu’s notable achievements has been defending street vendors in Arua Central, who faced unfair evictions and harassment. His advocacy for their rights highlights his commitment to fairness, justice, and community welfare.

As a businessman and estimator, Obindu understands resource management and community development, equipping him to create economic opportunities that improve livelihoods across Arua Central.

The people of Arua Central have already expressed their support for Obindu Jackson, recognizing that his opponent, Asega Habib Jojo, has consistently failed to deliver meaningful leadership. Analysts warn that choosing Asega could harm NUP’s credibility in the region, while Obindu’s vision aligns with the party’s values of grassroots, people-centered governance.

Hon. Obindu Jackson represents hope, change, and the future of Arua Central. From student leadership to activism and community advocacy, he is prepared to serve the people effectively. With Obindu in office, residents can expect their voices to be heard, their rights protected, and their communities empowered.

A Final Word to the People of Arua Central:
Obindu Jackson is not just another politician—he is the future. For genuine representation, progress, and fairness, the people of Arua Central must rally behind Hon. Obindu Jackson to build a brighter, more prosperous tomorrow.
