Bobi Wine Sets 3 Tough Conditions For Mathias Mpuuga Or Else Loose It All
The circus, confusion, hullabaloo rotating around the former leader of opposition Mathias Mpuuga and his party president Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu alias Bobi Wine is shifting in turns as supporters of both leaders continue reacting.
Few days ago in a statement released by Bobi Wine’s National Unity Platform, they indicated that Mpuuga was tasked to explain about the Shs500m he received as Service Award together with other three parliamentary commissioners. That he admitted and even apologized.
The statement further indicated that Mpuuga vowed never to do the same and even apologized to his party for indulging himself in such grand sharing of tax payers money. In a strong worded statement yesterday, Mpuuga declined to step down as a parliamentary commissioner because he sees no crime committed.
While appearing on CBS FM today, Mpuuga made some clarifications on the Satanic Money he’s accused of pocketing, he said he hasn’t even received a coin of that money but he will eventually get it because it comes in quotas.
Speaking to NUP leaders yesterday, Bobi Wine warned and roared that he will not coil his tail on issues surrounding corruption amongst his party members because it undermines the principles of the struggle which they’ve done and sacrificed much to sustain under the Museveni regime.
“That’s wrong and i don’t accept that, the meeting we convened resolved that my comrade Mpuuga, the only moral thing he should are taking back the tax payer’s money he pocketed, apologize to Ugandans and to resign from his position as a commissioner of parliament.”
Today Bobi Wine has reiterated his stance regarding the Shs500 million earmarked for former Leader of the Opposition, Mathias Mpuuga, labeling it as an instance of corruption and misuse of authority.
According to Bobi Wine’s statement, the decision to allocate the contentious ‘Service Award’ funds was made during a meeting attended by Speaker Anita Among, Mpuuga, and three NRM Commissioners of Parliament. He highlighted that this decision was reached just two months following the dismissal of then-Commissioner Francis Zaake.
