Mr. Calvin Echodu is rapidly earning the trust and admiration of NRM Party leaders across Uganda, thanks to his powerful message of grassroots inclusion and forward-thinking ideas. As he campaigns for the position of NRM Vice Chairperson for Eastern Uganda, his focus on rebuilding the party from the grassroots is resonating strongly with leaders and members alike.

Under his campaign banner, #TeamNewEnergy, Mr. Echodu has launched an extensive tour across the country, meeting with NRM leaders at all levels. His mission is to promote the vision of the Party Chairman, H.E. President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, while ensuring that the party remains closely connected to the everyday Ugandan. His core belief is that the NRM must continue to be a people-first party—one that listens, engages, and acts in the interest of its citizens.

What distinguishes Mr. Echodu is his emphasis on inclusive and sustainable leadership. He believes the future of the NRM lies in identifying, training, and empowering young people to become committed cadres who will carry the party forward. He also advocates for the continuous involvement of all party structures in programs throughout the year—not just during election campaigns.

His message is being well received. From region to region, NRM leaders and members have praised Mr. Echodu’s ideas as practical, honest, and full of the energy the party needs at this critical time. His ability to connect with the youth and mobilize support beyond Eastern Uganda speaks to the national appeal of his vision.

With the 2026 elections approaching, Mr. Echodu is not only campaigning for office—he’s building a movement focused on unity, empowerment, and long-term growth. His vision of a more responsive and vibrant NRM has inspired many at the grassroots, who see in him a leader ready to take the party into the future.
