Disrespect Or Protocol!! First Son Muhoozi Appoints Top Ministers , MPs To Serve Under His Newly Formed PLU
The Patriotic League of Uganda (PLU) has announced a number of new appointments as its head, Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, looks to expand the organization’s appeal to a wider range of social groups.Godfrey Kabbyanga, the state minister for ICT, and Jackson Atima and Martin Mapenduzi, two members of parliament, are among the newly appointed members.
In addition, the PLU has selected three district chairpersons to important roles.The position of coordinator for the Rwenzori PLU has been given to Kabbyanga; coordinators for the Acholi and Greater Arua areas will be Mapenduzi and Atima, respectively. Didas Tabaro (Mbarara), Sam Kajojo (Kanungu), and Nelson Nshangabasheija (Kabale) are the district chairpersons who have been appointed.
Michael Katungi and Henry Basaliza have been designated as coordinators for the Tooro and Kigezi sub-regions, respectively, in addition to these appointments. The roles of Ankole and Rwenzori Women representative spokespersons are Polly Karamuzi and Joyce Walemba.
The PLU leadership team now consists of these new appointees in addition to persons like Kitgum Woman NRM MP Lillian Aber, businessman Frank Gashumba, and event entrepreneur Balaam Barugahara.Notable members of the PLU leadership team also include Michael Mawanda, the NRM MP for Igara East, and President Yoweri Museveni’s brother, Michael Nuwagira, popularly known as Toyota.
Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, who also serves as the senior presidential advisor on special operations, expressed gratitude to the supporters and well-wishers of PLU after its launch on February 7, 2024. He emphasized the organization’s commitment to promoting national unity, peace, and stability in Uganda.
The PLU, formerly known as the MK Movement, was established as a platform to mobilize Ugandans towards these common goals. Originating in April 2022, the movement has evolved to encompass a diverse group of individuals united in their support for Gen. Muhoozi and his contributions to the country.
