FDC’s Nyanjura Omutatiina Reveals How She Feels Betrayed By ‘Cheap – Greedy’ Old Men Like Amuriat And Nandala
Deputy Lord Mayor of Kampala and a National Executive Member of the Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Doreen Nyanjura, has insinuated that she feels betrayed by her party leadership.
The FDC is currently under the leadership of Patrick Oboi Amuriat (Party President). He works very closely with his Secretary General, Nathan Nandala Mafabi. Both Amuriat and Mafabi were once in good books with the Nyanjuras, the followers of the Katonga establishment.
However, lately, things have turned around. It worsened after the Amuriat leadership was accused of embracing “drity money” from the “wrong source” towards the 2021 presidential polls to further finish off the opposition. In a tweet Tuesday morning, Nnanjura said, Betrayal hurts big time!
“In order to come to terms with what befell FDC when Nandala and POA exhibited cheap hypocrisy and betrayed the ideals of the party, I had to take some time off and undergo introspection. I am actually yet to come to terms with what is happening. I am still not sure what to tell those that have sacrificed their lives, their youth, and their resources building a foundation for years; a foundation that took years to build just took months to be dismantled by cheap, greedy, unprincipled men with no character and shame,” Nyanjura said on X.
Dim as the situation may be, she added: “Giving up is not a choice; fighting on is all that the fighters that paid the ultimate price expect of me and you.”“So yes, Tooro, see you tomorrow; Bunyoro, see you on Thursday,” Nyanjura said
