Former Bobi Wine’s Aide Ashburg Kato Laments & Exits NRM!! Pleads For Bobi Wine’s Forgiveness
Blogger Ashburg Kato, a former ardent supporter of Bobi Wine, has abandoned the National Resistance Movement and its leader, President Yoweri Museveni, declaring he will never support the party of their leader for any office.
In a thread rant on X (Twitter), Kato claims that in 2020, when he first joined the NRM, he fell in love with President Museveni. However, his story later had a tragic conclusion, which led him to break away from Museveni and the party.
He claims that, like other residents of the Ghetto, he had hopes and aspirations for the people from which he came, including access to free electricity and water as well as employment prospects. He gave President Museveni the proposal.
“When I met President Museveni in 2020, I traded everything for the ghetto initiative. The old man with a hat liked my idea and promised to implement it as soon as possible. I fell into a political trap,” Kato Laments.
He claims that despite the passage of three years, nothing has been done and that nothing will ever be done. Ismail Tusubirwa alias Jajja Iculi, the leader of the National Unity Platform (NUP), whom Kato considers his “father/fadha,” and Bobi Wine are no longer pals.
“I will never be able to forgive myself, I lost my fame and popularity, I lost my platform numbers, I even lost the people who really loved me,” he said.
“Right now, I feel completely gone and lifeless. I accept the guilt, and you are free to hold me accountable. I’m begging for everyone I betrayed out there for forgiveness.” The Blogger Continued.
He concluded by saying he is returning to the struggle with Bobi Wine.“I am coming home”.
Ashburg joins the likes of Andrew Bajjo and Mark Bugembe alias Buchaman who also accuse the NRM and President Museveni of tricking them to abandon Bobi Wine.
