He Is Not A Civilian!! State House Gives Shocking Reason For Trying Bobi Wine In A Military Court

Retired General Nelweyiso has defended the decision to try Dr. Kizza Besigye, a prominent Ugandan opposition leader, in a military court. Speaking about the case, General Nelweyiso stated that Dr. Besigye is not a civilian, which justifies the military trial.
Dr. Besigye faces charges of possessing firearms and ammunition, allegedly found in his possession while in Nairobi, Kenya. His detention has sparked significant public interest and concern. Currently held at Luzira Maximum Prison, Dr. Besigye was reportedly abducted by unknown individuals while in Nairobi. This incident drew widespread attention from Ugandans, many of whom expressed their views on social media.
At the time of his arrest, Dr. Besigye had attended a book launch hosted by Narc party leader and former Kenyan Justice Minister, Hon. Martha Karua. Karua publicly voiced her concern over Besigye’s arrest, adding to the international scrutiny surrounding the case.
Many Ugandans on social media have criticized the manner of Dr. Besigye’s arrest, arguing that Ugandan authorities should have detained him within Uganda rather than allegedly orchestrating his apprehension in Kenya. The situation has fueled debates about the government’s handling of political dissent and legal processes.
