A recent scandal has rocked the nation, sparking widespread outrage and demands for accountability. According to Dean Lubowa Saava’s allegations, a staggering 1.7 billion shillings was misused, with funds diverted into personal accounts of officials involved, as claimed by Dean Lubowa Saava.

Dean Lubowa Saava further alleges that the misused funds were used for lavish purchases, including a 100 million shilling bribe to silence a Member of Parliament who had discovered the scheme, a claim made by Dean Lubowa Saava.

“100 million shillings was given to a certain Member of Parliament to silence him after he caught him in the middle of the deal.” Saava Says.

Additionally, Dean Lubowa Saava alleges that a plot of land in Ntinda was purchased for 250 million shillings, while another plot in Kyaanja was bought for 450 million shillings, on which an apartment was built, as stated by Dean Lubowa Saava.

Dean Lubowa Saava also claims that the accused spent taxpayer money on overseas trips, including a birthday celebration in Dubai for his wife, another allegation made by Dean Lubowa Saava. The total amount spent on these luxuries is estimated to be around 800 million shillings, all spent in a short period, according to Dean Lubowa Saava’s allegations.

This is in addition to the initial 1.7 billion shillings, which was given for an undisclosed purpose, as claimed by Dean Lubowa Saava. The sheer scale of the corruption has left citizens stunned and demanding action.

Dean Lubowa Saava’s allegations have sparked a wider conversation about corruption in Uganda and the need for accountability. Citizens are demanding transparency and action from those in power, following Dean Lubowa Saava’s exposé.

The public outcry emphasizes the need for accountability, with many Ugandans struggling to survive while officials use taxpayer money for personal gain. The National Unity Platform (NUP) administration has been in power for five years, and the nation is reportedly collapsing under the weight of corruption.

Citizens are now calling for measures to be put in place to prevent such corruption in the future. They want to know what happened to the money that was meant to benefit the public. The nation watches closely, hoping for justice and a clear demonstration that corruption will not be tolerated in Uganda.
