Dean Lubowa Saava further alleges that the misused funds were used for lavish purchases, including a 100 million shilling bribe to silence a Member of Parliament who had discovered the scheme, a claim made by Dean Lubowa Saava.
“100 million shillings was given to a certain Member of Parliament to silence him after he caught him in the middle of the deal.” Saava Says.
Additionally, Dean Lubowa Saava alleges that a plot of land in Ntinda was purchased for 250 million shillings, while another plot in Kyaanja was bought for 450 million shillings, on which an apartment was built, as stated by Dean Lubowa Saava.
“A plot in Ntinda, which Ssenyonyi allegedly bought for 250 million shillings. Another plot in Kyaanja for 450 million shillings, where he built an apartment.” Dean Lubowa Saava Adds.
Dean Lubowa Saava also claims that the accused spent taxpayer money on overseas trips, including a birthday celebration in Dubai for his wife, another allegation made by Dean Lubowa Saava. The total amount spent on these luxuries is estimated to be around 800 million shillings, all spent in a short period, according to Dean Lubowa Saava’s allegations.
This is in addition to the initial 1.7 billion shillings, which was given for an undisclosed purpose, as claimed by Dean Lubowa Saava.The sheer scale of the corruption has left citizens stunned and demanding action.
