Museveni Is The 2026 Elections Winner!! NRM EC Boss Reveals Museveni Already Has 4.8 Million Votes Awaiting
Dr. Tanga Odoi, the chairperson of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) electoral commission, has asserted that the NRM’s presidential candidate for the 2026 election will benefit from a significant head start of 4.8 million votes from party leaders.
According to Mr. Odoi, this strategic move is part of President Museveni’s plan, who has been in power since 1986.In an interview with the Daily Monitor, Dr. Odoi explained that after structure elections, including votes from the village to the national level, the cumulative support from flag bearers of Members of Parliament, LCIII, mayors, LCIV, LCV, and leaders in CEC would amount to 4,800,064 leaders, translating to 4.8 million votes for the NRM presidential flag bearer.
“At the end of our structure elections we vote in 2.5million from the village, up to the national level. Then we add the flag bearers of Members of Parliament, LCIII, mayors and LCIV, LCV, flag bearer of leaders in CEC and ultimately the total number is 4,800,064 leaders. That alone means the NRM presidential flag bearer has 4.8 million votes,” Dr Odoi said.
Although different party factions have suggested President Museveni as the 2026 flag bearer, the final decision will be subject to an internal election process. The NRM has outlined a tentative roadmap for elections, beginning with the registration of party members at the village level between November 2023 and February 29, 2024.
Dr. Odoi urged NRM members to prepare for upcoming elections, emphasizing the party’s commitment to retaining power. In the 2021 elections, President Museveni secured victory with 5,851,037 votes (58.64% of valid votes), amid opposition claims of a sham process, arrests, and an internet blackout.President Museveni’s main challenger, Mr. Robert Kyagulanyi of the National Unity Platform (NUP), accused him of using brutality and voter bribery to extend his hold on power.
Museveni recently touted his physical strength and stamina, which he said was the reason young people are still calling upon him to seek a seventh term in office. The President was addressing thousands of students from different schools who are part of the patriotism program, at the Kololo Ceremonial Grounds.
In his speech, Museveni implored the youngsters to take charge of their lives and guard against temptations that would jeopardize their futures. He gave the example of himself, who at the age of 79, is still in perfect health.
