Painful!! Ex Museveni Spy Narrates Torture Ordeal In Safe Houses
Former Museveni spy who was working with the Internal Security Organization (ISO) has narrated to this publication a year-long torture he went through in safe houses and torture chambers when he fell out with his bosses at state house.
Based in a neighboring country, Maliamungu Shaban who was born and bred from the West Nile district of Yumbe joined the army and served in several military positions as he rose through the ranks. He happened to fall out with his bosses in state house and was arrested, tortured for allegedly harboring presidential ambitions.
We publish his story verbatim as seen below.
“In May 2015, I was arrested in our office in Nakasero state house on allegation for harboring presidential ambitions, after a tip off from some of my relatives, truly I told my brother whose name I could not mention yet that I will have to liberate people of Uganda from injustice, rule of law dignity.Unfortunately my brother reported me to the district security office in my home district of Yumbe and immediately this report reached Nakasero I unknowingly reported to office work as usual early in the morning only to be summoned for interrogation for about seven hours.

I was released after denying the allegations but was placed under serious surveillance, they claimed that I was supported by America and I was going to stand for president in the 2016 general elections. It was until April 2016 that i was re-deployed in Nakasongola district on demotion under district security office, then after they failed to get concret information on me about the allegations, they promoted me and transferred me to Kapchorwa district as a district security officer, shortly I was recalled to Kampala on suspicion that I was recruiting rebels in Sebei.
I was again arrested in April 12,2019 after some SFC soldiers were arrested for plotting a coup but due to the torture subjected to them, they confessed that i was the one organizing yet i didn’t know that i was visiting a relative in Bombo. I was under surveilance and on that day i was kidnaped around Mile 20 by a section of soldiers from SFC.
They drove me to Bombo police and the following day they transferred me to a safe house in an unknown location until January 2020. On seeing my deteriorating health, they gave me a substance i didn’t know to drink in a cup. They then transferred me to our office of ISO headquarters and i was given two weeks for seeking medical attention and ordred me to return after those two weeks for further management.
Upon going of the gates of these torturous chambers, i never returned for further management as had been said and instead i found a way out to escape after learning that more misery and torture awaited me on return”.
