Shocking!! President Museveni Warns Soldiers Off Social Media
President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda has called upon military faculty to zero in on their ways of life and enthusiasm as opposed to enjoying “obliviousness” via virtual entertainment stages.President Museveni questioned the online activities of 295 officer cadets at the Uganda Military Academy-Kabamba in the Mubende District.
“I hear that you spend a lot of time on social media,” he said.
“Are you merely exchanging ignorance or engaging in conversation with knowledgeable individuals?” He Added
In addition, President Museveni emphasized the significance of maintaining good health and warned the newly commissioned officers against unhealthy behaviors like promiscuity and alcoholism.He urged servicemen to ceaselessly extend their insight by signing up for courses and taking part in broad perusing.
President Museveni made the following remark: “The launch of our satellite will further enhance our capabilities. We are even in the process of launching a satellite and strengthening our marine forces to cover Uganda’s numerous freshwater areas.”
On September 15, President Museveni, who will turn 79 on that day, urged parents not to constantly demand money from their children while they are serving in the armed forces. He emphasized the opportunities for poverty alleviation provided by Uganda’s favorable climate.
The Minister of Defense and Veteran Affairs, Vincent Ssempijja, urged the cadets to remain united.Uganda’s Head of Guard Powers, General Wilson Mbasu Mbadi, noticed that four of the recruits had moved on from abroad foundations in nations like Kenya, Jamaica, and the Regal Military Institute Sandhurst. Colonel Wycliff Keita, the Commandant of Uganda Military Foundation Kabamba, unveiled that among the 295 official trainees, 32 were ladies.
The majority of the cadets—roughly 236 of them—were chosen from specialized UPDF departments like education, finance, legal services, medical, ICT, engineering, air force, and procurement, among others.Four postgraduates, 129 graduates, and 103 diploma holders made up the professional cohort, some of whom came from neighboring countries like Kenya, Rwanda, South Sudan, and Tanzania.
These young people were praised by the Ugandan military for their patriotic decision to serve with the UPDF.They got preparing in military information and abilities as well as in political economy and their more extensive job in the social, financial, educational, and conciliatory parts of state power, as verified by Colonel Keita.
