General Muhoozi Kainerugaba, Uganda’s Chief of Defence Forces (CDF), has issued a stern warning to Jimmy Chérizier, also known as “Barbecue,” the notorious leader of powerful gangs in Haiti. In a recent social media post, General Muhoozi gave Barbecue and his gang members 24 hours to surrender, threatening serious consequences if they did not comply. He emphasized the gravity of his warning by using the term “Kandoya,” which signifies severe punishment.

Barbecue, a former police officer, leads the Revolutionary Forces of the G9 Family and Allies, a coalition of over a dozen violent gangs operating in Port-au-Prince, Haiti’s capital. These gangs have contributed to widespread violence and lawlessness in the country, making Barbecue one of the most feared figures in Haiti. His group is involved in a range of criminal activities, including drug trafficking, kidnappings, and other illegal operations, which have inflicted immense suffering on the Haitian population.

General Muhoozi’s statement comes at a time of severe political and social instability in Haiti. The country has been battling gang violence for years, with the government struggling to regain control over the situation. Muhoozi’s warning is seen as an attempt to bring order to the region and curb the spread of violence.

The ultimatum has sparked mixed reactions online. Some people have shown support for General Muhoozi, agreeing that decisive action is necessary to deal with the gangs and restore peace. They believe the government must act to stop the ongoing violence. However, others fear that such a warning could escalate the conflict, leading to further bloodshed and suffering for the people of Haiti.

As the 24-hour deadline approaches, many are left wondering whether Barbecue and his gangs will comply with the demand or continue their violent activities. The situation remains uncertain, and the coming days are seen as critical in determining Haiti’s future in its battle against gang violence. General Muhoozi’s involvement highlights how global leaders are increasingly engaging in efforts to address the crime and instability plaguing Haiti.
