Tension High!! Gen Muhoozi Dragged To Court By Top Ugandan Lawyer, See The Crime He Allegedly Committed

General Muhoozi Kainerugaba has been taken to court over controversial statements he made during the Tarehe Sita celebrations in Kyotera District on 6th February 2025. The case was filed by lawyer Male H. Mabirizi K. Kiwanuka at the Chief Magistrate’s Court of Rakai, where he is acting as the prosecutor.
Muhoozi is facing two charges in connection with his remarks. The first charge is Scandalous Conduct by Officers under Section 143 of the UPDF Act, which pertains to his comments on the Supreme Court’s ruling in Constitutional Appeal No. 02 of 2021. The second charge is Disobedience of Statutory Duty under Section 103 of the Penal Code Act, with the prosecution arguing that his statements violated legal provisions.
The case has sparked considerable public interest due to Muhoozi’s high-ranking position in the military and his status as the son of President Museveni, making the proceedings a matter of national significance.
