“The Goons Who Attacked Me At The Kabaka Birthday Run Were Paid By Bobi Wine And Rubongoya” Mpuuga Reveals

Appearing on NBS TV on Thursday morning, NUP deputy president Mathias Mpuuga denied that the hatred he received at the recent Kabaka jubilee, where some participants mocked and insulted him by calling him ‘ani yalya’, was related to the Shs 500m he received as a Parliamentary Commissioner and this shows how he became a damaged goods and therefore unpopular with the public.
Mpuuga, on the other hand, says those backed by his bosses at National Unity Platform (NUP) headquarters are increasingly happy to tarnish his reputation.
He says a small section of the crowd showed hatred towards him while talking about the Shs500m he was given and that this was something trained, sponsored and planned days before the Kabaka himself ran.
Mpuuga says this was all done by his NUP colleagues and fellow leaders who have been working to bring him dowm since he became LoP. Mpuuga also said he was happy that the haters’ efforts were yet to succeed despite a lot of money still being spent on them.
He also promised that he would not leave NUP because no one had invited him to join them in the last three years. He said he joined voluntarily and would leave of his own free will, rather than being driven out by foot soldiers and information brokers who would exploit him on social media.
“It’s like a snake gets into your house and you run away. You are going through a difficult time and this is what I decided to do.”
Mpuuga also confirmed that he has nothing to apologize to Bobi Wine or anyone in NUP, but on his part he is ready to “consider his mistakes and accept and accept their forgiveness in high horse steps”.
Regarding his suspension as deputy president, Mpuuga stated that he paid it no attention because it lacked a legal foundation based on the party’s constitution.
“A political party is a national asset and a public good. It should not be used to satisfy personal egos. The actions taken must consider the stakeholders involved,” he added.
Mpuuga further expressed that the NUP has not progressed beyond its formative stages to become a fully organized entity capable of achieving its objectives. He also confirmed where he is going and what the NUP party should follow He said he will continue to hold large meetings, listening to as many partners as possible about what he needs to do to determine the necessary direction.
