The Hunter Is Now Being Hunted!! Top Museveni Minister , Other 3 MPs Face Arrest Over Corruption – Information About Their Black Deals Leak

Police detectives are currently surveilling a State Minister and three Members of Parliament in connection with two corruption cases.
According to information obtained by The Kampala Eye, the targeted State Minister and two MPs—one representing Bulambuli district and the other Bushenyi district—are under investigation for their involvement in the misappropriation of Shs 165 billion intended for Cooperatives Society compensation.
The MP from Bulambuli, who previously served as the deputy chairperson of the Budget Committee of Parliament, faces allegations of collusion with government officials and numerous legislators to approve Shs 164 billion for compensation.
Subsequently, it is alleged that they and others benefitted from these funds.Meanwhile, the MP from Bushenyi is accused of receiving a portion of the compensation funds for a Cooperative Society associated with them.
“We are ready for 3 honorables (MPs) who were involved in the Cooperatives money,” said a source.
The re-arrest of Busiki County MP, Paul Akamba is also said to be connected to the Cooperatives money. In December 2023, the state minister for Trade, Harriet Ntababazi told the Parliament’s Committee on Trade and Tourism that up to 30 legislators were facing criminal investigation over their alleged role in the embezzlement of the Shs164b.
“The Criminal Investigation Directorate (CID) is taking on files, around 5 files have been identified and the good thing is it wasn’t only the Ministry, there are more than 30 MPs who are into this including Opposition MPs, five active opposition MPs, very talkative and noise makers (who) will also face it rough. We shall also face it as a Ministry, but they will also face it. So, we aren’t scared, wherever it will end, God knows, let it unfold that way,” said Ntabazi.
Another Member of Parliament from Greater Bushenyi is under scrutiny for his involvement in reallocating approximately Shs 1 trillion in the recently concluded FY 2024/2025 budget.
According to a source familiar with the matter, there is a specific investigation into the changing of budget allocations. The legislator, however, is reported to be currently out of the country, specifically in London.
This pending investigation follows the recent arrest and remand of three legislators to Luzira prison for corruption-related charges.Yusuf Mutembuli of Bunyole East, who also serves as the deputy chairperson of the Legal Committee of Parliament, along with Cissy Namujju from Lwengo District and Paul Akamba, were charged with soliciting money from Mariam Wangadya, the Chairperson of Uganda Human Rights Commission.
The alleged incident occurred on May 13, 2024, at Hotel Africana in Kampala City.According to the state, they demanded a 20% share of the anticipated increased budget for the Uganda Human Rights Commission for the FY 2024/2026.
They purportedly claimed they could improperly influence the Budget Committee of Parliament to enhance the UHRC’s budget in exchange for this advantage.
The arrests of these MPs came after President Museveni disclosed during his State of the Nation Address last Thursday that evidence implicates corrupt government officials from the Ministry of Finance to Parliament.
