Ugandans Left in Disbelief As 80 Year Old President Museveni Confirms His Impending Death , Reveals How’s He’s Ready To Meet God In Heaven

President Museveni this Tuesday afternoon met with and addressed hundreds of traders from downtown Kampala. The meeting was about harmonizing and working out common ground on VAT and EFRIS-related matters which a few weeks ago aggrieved traders to the point of protesting by shutting down their shops.
Museveni was here to make some big pronouncements which, however, never came through, something that made his hitherto very cheerful audience visibly broken.President Museveni also peripherally referred to his inevitable death, which he said will come one day and not very far from now.
As traders used the preliminary session to push back against his attack on those who thrive on importing stuff from outside countries, while making it clear there was absolutely nothing wrong with importing because even those importing create wealth and job opportunities for fellow Ugandans, Gen Museveni implored them to become more patriotic and look at the long term as opposed to now.
He reminded them that they have much more years to live in Uganda than him who is an old man of 80 years, which brings him nearer to his grave. The President made clear that, at 80, he isn’t very far from expiring to the other world through which he will be transiting to heaven to go and meet his creator.
“I am 80 years of age and about to go to Heaven. You’re still young and have more years ahead. You’ll be the ones to suffer if we don’t plan and make this country better for you to live in.” He Said.
He demanded that traders become more interested in growing industrialization in Uganda (by buying from Chinese who are locally manufacturing from Uganda’s Industrial Parks) and the country’s manufacturing capabilities as opposed to insisting on importation because an industrialised Uganda will benefit them more and for longer than him, an old man of 80 years, who isn’t very far from departing to meet his creator.
Among the concerns raised by the traders during the meeting were corruption allegations against URA officials and issues of over and double taxation. Specifically, Mr. John Kabanda, the chairperson of the Federation of Uganda Traders’ Association (FUTA), decried the high and unfavorable taxes imposed on them by URA.
In response to these concerns, President Museveni stated that he did not see any form of double taxation as claimed by the traders.
“You only pay once. And you don’t pay what the other one has already paid, and I protect our factories,” he said.
It should be noted that the Tuesday meeting was such a huge dilemma for Gen Museveni because those who came were lukewarm and yet a larger group stayed away; implying that they didn’t have much hope in the President resolving their grievances.
