A significant gathering unfolded in Mitooma District on Saturday as the MK Movement organized a Baraaza in the residence area of Interior Minister Hon. Kahinda Otafiire, a well-known critic of Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba.Otafiire, leveraging his position, had long hindered the rally until it received approval from his superior, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

Led by the Mayor of Kashenshero Town Council, Hon. Edgar, and the MK Movement Central Committee, the Baraza drew crowds from all corners of Kahinda’s constituency.NRA historicals, including Rtd Gen. Kale Kayihura and Rtd Brig Gen Mujuni, attended the event, emphasizing the need to consolidate the peace and stability achieved through the Bush War revolution.

Gen. Kayihura expressed gratitude to the Movement for reorganizing the youth towards a revolutionary agenda, stating that the MK Movement fulfills the role intended for the NRM youth league.

“On behalf of all historicals, there is no reason why we should worry or fight these young people under the MK Movement. Whatever they are doing is for the good of this country, and so we should accord them maximum respect, guidance, and support as they champion continued peace and stability,” emphasized Gen. Kayihura.

In a veiled message directed at Otafiire, Kayihura reminded those against a Muhoozi Presidency that, “as historicals, we should be preparing our young people and also handing over power to them.” He expressed disappointment that a historical figure would unleash attacks against Muhoozi, whom he believes should be offering guidance and direction.

Rt Hon Thomas Tayebwa, Chairman of the MK Movement, clarified in his message that the movement has no intention of fighting anyone in Mitooma.

“Amidst my busy schedule, where do I get time to fight unnecessary wars?” questioned Tayebwa.

He encouraged the youth to embrace government programs like the PDM and engage in sports, as advocated by Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba.Tayebwa cautioned excited youth against engaging in divisive actions and urged them to avoid being sponsored to share harmful videos on social media, emphasizing that such content could have repercussions in the future.
