Mathias Mpuuga the recently dropped Leader of Opposition( (LOP) has fired back at National Unity Platform (NUP) party President Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine for listening to back stabbers and replacing him as LOP in the 11th Parliament.

According to Mathias Mpuuga in video making rounds on social media, he calls upon those claiming he “did nothing” while working as LOP, to first understand the kind of politics he runs and what kind of precedent he set for the party.

” I cannot run the kind of politics you want, of jumping on tables, I wanted people to know that we are not just a bunch of empty tins that came to parliament as a result of the NUP wave, I wanted them to know that they had elected people of value who are well deserving of their votes,” Mpuuga said.

Mpuuga goes ahead to criticize those who fought him for the leadership of LOP, and challenged them to instead fight to become Prime Ministers instead of leaders of opposition.

He advised back stabbers in NUP’, that parliament is not about who makes the loudest noise, it is for people with brains and who handle issues intellectually and work with all parties concerned not the noise of jumping on tables.

” I set my standards in parliament and reason out issues with a level headed mind, not at the wimp of pleasing anyone, some people are not meant to become leaders, cause they can’t handle a mature debate, they are just supposed to be led and that is what I have done for NUP,” said Mpuuga.

“I want to invite all those who believe in a new and better Uganda to work as a team.”

He further added that, NUP has downplayed his efforts by undermining his energy and sacrifices for the last two and half years.Mpuuga however welcome welcomed the new LOP and promised to work as a guide to him, should he need his guidance.

Some political analysts believe, Mpuuga is headed for a position in government and will not stay long with NUP’, having accused it of undermining his efforts and backstabbing him.
