“You Won’t Die With Uganda, You Found It Here & You Will Leave It Here” Gen Otafiire Sends A Powerful Message

Ugandan Minister of Internal Affairs, General Kahinda Otaffire, has urged Ugandan leaders to love their country and recognize that Uganda will continue to exist long after their time. He emphasized that Uganda is not owned by any individual, highlighting the importance of making meaningful contributions without trying to dominate or control the nation.
General Otaffire remarked, “Life on earth is just like I’ve always said. Uganda was there without you, it is here with you, and it will be here long after you are gone. Just make your contribution, don’t try to own Uganda. That is what I ask of you.” He further called on citizens to embrace unity and inclusivity, urging them to accept and respect everyone living in Uganda, regardless of their origins.
His statements come amidst allegations from National Unity Platform (NUP) leader Bobi Wine, who has accused President Yoweri Museveni of attempting to establish a family dynasty in Uganda. Bobi Wine claims that President Museveni has been using the Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) as a tool to maintain his grip on power.
