Suspected ADF Collaborator Arrested In Uganda , Police Reveals What He Was Caught Doing
Uganda’s Security Forces arrested a suspected collaborator with the rebel group Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) at the Mutukula border with Tanzania.
The apprehension occurred this weekend by a joint security team, monitoring Sekayiba Ishak’s movements closely. According to police spokesperson Fred Enanga, Ishak was captured crossing the border to South Africa in a South African-registered Noah minivan with the plate number B9243TP.
“Our joint border security team at Mutukula had profiled him and kept a close watch on his movements,” Enanga stated on Monday.
“He was consistently crossing from Uganda to South Africa and other countries, raising suspicions about his motives. During the arrest, Ishak was found with electrical wires and security lamps, heightening concerns about his potential involvement with the ADF,” Enanga added.
The police has arranged to transfer him to the Counter Terrorism Police Headquarters for further investigation and interrogation. ADF agents have previously planted bombs in Uganda, resulting in civilian casualties.
