ADF Collaborator Behind Death Of Over 40 Kasese Students Surrenders – See Details

It has been reported that an alleged ADF Commander in Rubirizi District has surrendered himself to Uganda Police and UPDF.The alleged terrorist, who reportedly crossed from DR Congo has been named as William Byaruhanga, 30, and was earlier a resident of Busunga trading center in Bundibugyo district.In a press conference made by Mr.Fred Enanga, the terrorist surrendered to the UPDF 309th Brigade in Kafulo Kyanzaza parish in Kirugu Sub County, Rubirizi district on Sunday.

“We have transferred him to Makenke army barracks in Mbarara for further management. What we want is to gather information from him that might be useful against some of the existing ADF threats in the country and any other enemies of Uganda,” Enanga told journalists on Monday.

Following that, social media users were quick enough to take to their various social media platforms to express their opinions regarding the incident.

It should be recalled that at least 37 bodies were recovered after the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) rebels burnt a school dormitory in Kasese district in southwestern Uganda, about 2 km from the border with the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) months back.The ADF rebels stormed Lhubirira Secondary School in Mpondwe overnight, burning a dormitory and looting a food store, police spokesperson Fred Enang said over 40 bodies were ecovered from the school and transferred to Bwera Hospital.

Also recovered wee 8 victims, who were in critical condition at Bwera Hospital. He revealed that a hot pursuit by the Uganda People’s Defence Forces and the police was underway at that time.
