Pastor Jackson Ssenyonga of Christian Life Church, Bwaise is in trouble after one of the lead witnesses told court that he was behind the plot to falsely accuse Lubaga Miracle Centre Cathedral senior pastor, Robert Kayanja in the aborted sodomy case.

The revelation was made at Mengo Chief Magistrate’s court where nine people are being charged of falsely accusing Pastor Kayanja of practicing sodomy with intent to defame him and destroy his church as well giving false news to police.Sam Magomu (26), a guard at pastor Kayanja ‘s church testified before the presiding magistrate Adams Byarugaba that on September 17th, 2021, a plot to falsely accuse Kayanja was hatched by Pastor Ssenyonga who promised them millions of money and passports to relocate abroad if they succeeded in pining Kayanja.

In a fully parked Court, Magomu explained that they joined Pastor Kayanja ‘s church in 2016 but later begged him to work as guards which he accepted and sponsored their training in Kabalye police training school in Kiryandongo district before commencing work with Reagan Ssentongo as their leader. He however said that in 2021, during Covid19 outbreak, Ssentongo called him to join the team at Miracle Center Cathedral. He also told them that they were going to receive cash.

But when he arrived, things changed after Ssentongo told them that they were supposed to cause commotion by shouting and accusing Kayanja of sodomizing them in order to get good money a thing which they did.

“We shouted accusing Kayanja of sodomy and we threatened to shatter the church windows unless he paid us good money,” They Testified.

Magomu said that that very night, Mwada called different people from the coolers. They included; Pastor David Kiganda, Pastor Ssempa and Sylvia Namutebi commonly known as Maama Fiina narrating how Pastor Kayanja had been sodomizing his guards and had even locked them up at Old Kampala.Mwada asked them not to despair but pin Kayanja over sodomy.

Magomu added that the following day, they were taken to Mulago hospital for medical checkup and while there, Mwada came with Israel Wasswa the head of pastor Ssenyonga ‘s security team, a one Aggrey Kanene and a certain police officer who asked them to maintain the accusations against Kayanja.Wasswa’s team begged Magomu to also join his friends to vigorously accuse Kayanja because he was a bit reluctant. They even promised to help them secure police bond which they actually got and they were released.

Magomu said the results from the medical checkup didn’t confirm any act of sodomy.Magomu told court that they started having regular meetings with Wasswa and Kanene ‘s team who assured them not to worry because Pastor Ssenyonga was with them in this plot and was going to pay them a lot of money and secure travel documents for them so that they relocate them abroad safely.

He said Wasswa and Kanene took them to Kawempe police station where they opened up fresh cases against Kayanja saying old Kampala police officers were biased.Magomu’s guided statement was recorded by a police woman named D/IP Cotilda Nandutu.
