WE SHALL NOT GIVE YOU IN!! Police Increases Cash Reward to Shs 60 Million For Anyone Who Knows The Killer Of The Elderly Entebbe Couple
Police have increased the cash reward to Shillings 60 million for anyone who provides credible information leading to the arrest of the prime suspect in the brutal killing of David Mutaaga and his wife, Deborah Florence Mutaaga.
The couple was discovered dead at their home in Lugonjo, Entebbe Municipality, on the evening of Sunday, July 6, 2025. Their deaths shocked both the local community and the nation.
Speaking at a press briefing at police headquarters in Naguru, Police Spokesperson ACP Kituuma Rusoke confirmed that several individuals have been arrested in connection with the case. Some were later released, but the prime suspect remains at large.
“We will provide the true information once the prime suspect is finally apprehended. As of now, investigations are ongoing,” Rusoke said. He also clarified that, contrary to recent media reports, the case remains open and under active investigation.
The police assured the public that anyone providing information leading to the suspect’s arrest would remain completely confidential. Rusoke emphasized that the identities of tipsters will not be revealed.
The decision to increase the reward was approved by CID Director Maj. Tom Magambo Rwabudongo, who is reportedly working tirelessly to ensure justice is served. “This case has not been fully investigated to warrant closure,” Rusoke added.
Police are appealing to anyone with information that could help apprehend the suspect to come forward. Authorities hope that the higher reward, combined with the guarantee of confidentiality, will encourage the public to assist in solving the double murder that has left the nation in shock.
