My name is Joseph Kisakye, and I’m from Mukono, Uganda. For three years after graduating from university, I felt like a shadow of the man I had hoped to become. I earned a diploma in Business Administration, full of dreams and energy, ready to face the world. But life after school didn’t unfold the way I had imagined.

After graduation, I applied for jobs wherever I could. I printed CVs, walked to different offices, and even paid cyber cafes to submit online applications on my behalf. I got a few interview calls, but none resulted in a job. Sometimes I was promised a follow-up that never came; other times, I wasn’t even shortlisted.
