Just two days after being caught on camera assaulting a female supermarket attendant, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Clive Nsiima Barigye has been released without facing any charges. The incident occurred at a Shell fuel station in Kyanja, Kampala, and has sparked widespread public outrage.
Clive, who serves in the Counter Terrorism Directorate’s Oil and Gas Protection Unit, was recorded on CCTV slapping a cashier after she reminded him to pay an unpaid fuel bill of about Shs 30,000.
