NUP’s Bobi Young Arrested!! Police Reveals What They Found In His House , Will He Be Charged From The Military Court ?

Uganda Police has confirmed the arrest of NUP’s Bobi Young and warned other Ugandans against donning clothes with much resemblance to security attires.

A photo of Bobi Young, real name Anthony Twinomijuni, wearing a red attire with ranks on either shoulder made rounds on social media yesterday.In an intelligence-led operation, security agencies have raided the residence of Twinomijuni Anthony, also known as Bobi Young, in Mutungo Zone II, Nakawa Division, Kampala.

The operation, which took place earlier today, led to the arrest of the suspect and the recovery of various items resembling military gear.According to a statement by Police, a search carried out at Bobi Young’s home in Mutungo led to the confiscation of several other items resembling security attires.

Other items including a walkie talkie, berets, and shoes resembling military attires were found at Bobi Young’s home.Police reveals that Bobi Young is being charged with illegal possession of government stores and inciting violence. Patrick Onyango, the Kampala Metropolitan Police Spokesperson, confirmed the incident.

.”Security agencies have today 23/05/2024 carried out an intelligence led operation at the home of one Twinomijuni Anthony commonly known as Bobi young, a resident of Mutungo zone II, Nakawa Division Kampala, he was arrested. On searching his premises the following items were recovered, Ranks resembling that one of a UPDF 4 Star General, Walk Talkie, Berets resembling that of military police and two pairs of desert military shoes .” Onyango Said

Authorities have charged Twinomijuni Anthony with illegal possession of government stores and inciting violence. Onyango confirmed that the suspect has been handed over to the Joint Anti-Terrorism Taskforce (JATT) for further investigation and management.

“He has been charged with illegal possession of government stores and inciting violence. He has been handed over to JATT for further management. The operation continues.”  Patrick Onyango Added.
