Museveni At 80!! Russia’s President Putin Praises Museveni’s Leadership, Reveals Why Museveni Is Needed By Africa And The World

Russian President Vladimir Putin has extended warm birthday wishes to Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, who turns 80 today, September 15, 2024.

In a letter shared by the Russian Embassy in Uganda on X, Putin praised Museveni’s leadership and his contributions to the African continent and beyond.

In his message, Putin described Museveni as a leader who has earned well-deserved high authority on the African continent, emphasizing that Uganda has seen significant progress in various sectors under his leadership.

Putin wrote, “You rightfully enjoy a well-deserved high authority on the African continent”.

He noted Uganda’s achievements in both the social and economic arenas, highlighting its growing stature on the international stage.

Putin further acknowledged the strong relations between Russia and Uganda, crediting Museveni for playing a pivotal role in enhancing the friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

“In Russia, we highly value Your consistent contribution to enhancing the relations of friendship and cooperation between our two countries,” Putin’s letter stated.

As Museveni marks this milestone birthday, Putin wished him “good health, well-being, and success in all your state endeavors,” concluding his message on a personal note.
