Breaking News!! Businessman Sudhir Ruparelia’s Son, Rajiv, Passes Away In Deadly Road Crash

Rajiv Ruparelia, son of renowned Ugandan businessman Sudhir Ruparelia, tragically lost his life in a car accident in the early hours of Saturday morning.

According to a report from the Directorate of Traffic and Road Safety, the fatal incident occurred at approximately 1:54 AM at the Busabala Flyover traffic lights in the Makindye-Ssabagabo area of Wakiso District.

Rajiv was driving a Nissan GTR, registration number UAT 638L, heading from Kajjansi toward Munyonyo when the vehicle struck temporary barriers placed at the roundabout on the flyover. The impact caused the car to overturn and subsequently catch fire. He died at the scene, with authorities indicating that he was unable to escape the burning vehicle.

The exact cause of the crash has yet to be determined, and investigations are currently underway.

Rajiv played an active role in the management of the Ruparelia Group and was widely seen as the heir to his father’s business legacy. He was also known for his enthusiasm for motorsports.

Police spokesperson SP Kananura Michael confirmed the incident and extended heartfelt condolences to the Ruparelia family.
