A man, identified as Kadumbula Silveste, aged 30 and residing in Nambale village, Ndalike Parish, Namwendwa subcounty in Kamuli district, has been apprehended by the police on suspicion of sexually abusing his own two daughters, both 10 years old.

The arrest was made following information received by Pius Mugweri, the chairperson of Namwendwa Subcounty, who was informed by a whistle-blower that Silveste was involving his daughters in sexual rituals with the aim of acquiring wealth.

Busoga North regional police spokesperson Micheal Kasadha confirmed the arrest of Kadumbula. The suspect’s actions came to light after it was revealed that the twins had been left under their father’s care as their mother was absent.

Mugweri strongly condemned the abominable act, urging development partners, leaders, and the government to intervene in safeguarding the rights of young girls.Kadumbula Silveste, currently held at Namwendwa police station, confessed that he was introduced to a shrine by a wealthy friend in Kamuli municipality.

According to him, this friend advised him to defile his twin daughters as part of a ritual to gain wealth.Silveste justified his actions by claiming that twins possess supernatural wealth-generating powers and establishing a sexual connection with them could supposedly extend this wealth to the entire household.
